Our team of experts collaborated with the client on mapping the process and made this implementation a two-phased approach. In the first phase, we conducted a detailed Gap Analysis, strategizing enhancement for their existing Framework on Sitecore. The first migration phase included: Piloting the program for migration of websites to Sitecore, developing: strategy, Migration tool, Content Migration Factory, and Migrating and testing.

In the second phase, we worked towards Value Realization, by upgrading the core platform and working on new capabilities: Personalization, Integrations (MAP, CRM), xDB & SVC, and Analytics.

Background

Honeywell was looking for a partner to help them strategize, provide a roadmap for multi-site migration of websites and migrate multiple websites from different CMS platforms (including Drupal, Umbraco, SharePoint etc.) to a single digital framework built on Sitecore.

The migration was carried out in two phases. Phase one, focused on the migration process, starting with a pilot program for selected websites, followed by the development of a comprehensive strategy, a Migration Tool, and a Content Migration Factory, along with migration and testing. In phase two, the emphasis shifted to value realization, enabling the migrated websites with advanced capabilities such as personalization, integrations with MAP and CRM, xDB & SVC, and analytics.

The newly developed Honeywell websites now cater to the organization’s enterprise-scale functionality needs while delivering a personalized experience to customers. With a robust CMS, multiple users can seamlessly add content, create a unified customer view, implement data-driven marketing strategies, and enhance site usability through new integrations. This transformation has significantly improved both performance and operational efficiency.

As a result of the implemented solution, Honeywell achieved a 50% reduction in time to market, cutting migration and integration timelines from months to days. Additionally, the company enhanced its scalability with the Core Framework and optimized costs by leveraging re-usable templates.
